Madison Offensive Attack Leads to Millburn's Second Loss
Millers struggle offensively, score only four times Wednesday; play Cranford today.
The Millburn High School lacrosse team plays Cranford today at home after dropping its second game of the season -- at Madison High, 11-4, on Wednesday.
Millburn struggled to stop the Madison offense all game on Wednesday, as Billy Battaglia and Colin McLinden combined for nine of the Dodgers’ 11 goals. Madison goalie Brett Anton stopped 15 shots and the Millburn offense was stifled to the tune of four goals.

Other key performances of the game were by Brian Baker (Millburn), Baker recorded eight ground balls in the loss; Ricky Simon (Millburn), had one goal on one shot in the loss; Billy Battaglia (Madison), the Madison junior led all scorers with six goals.
"It’s a tough game for us today. I thought we had game planned well. We came out knowing what we wanted to do. (Madison) is a good team, they’re the best 4-6 team in the state. We had to be about the little things today and we weren’t. We didn’t slide well defensively and offensively we didn’t get any flow going,” said Head Coach Bill McCutcheon
