Man At Short Hills Mall Had Loaded Glock Gun In His Waist, Police Say
Millburn police found a stolen car in the parking lot of the Short Hills Mall, then located the driver inside a store with a gun, they said.
MILLBURN, NJ — The Millburn police said this week that they found a man at the Burberry store at the Short Hills Mall who had a loaded Glock gun in his waist.
Police said that on Sept. 24, at 4:15 p.m., Officers Carroll and Herrera found a stolen Dodge Challenger in a parking lot at The Mall at Short Hills.
The officers searched for the driver inside the mall and found him inside Burberry, they said.

They arrested Shaquan Snipes, 24, of Elizabeth.
Police said that when they searched Snipes, they found a loaded Glock 43 "tucked into his waist."

A Glock 43 is a 9 mm subcompact semi-automatic pistol.
Snipes was charged with receiving stolen property, unlawful possession of a weapon, and hindering.
He was taken to the Essex County Correctional Facility.
