Man Shoves Officer, Steals 25 Items From Macy's: Millburn Police

Police are looking for the man who stuffed his backpack full of clothing before fleeing the store.

MILLBURN, NJ - The Millburn Police are looking for the person responsible for stealing more than two dozen items from a store and shoving a loss prevention officer as they made their escape.

According to authorities, on Sept. 4 Millburn Police Officer O'Neill responded to Macy's on a theft report where personnel reported a man concealed approximately 25 articles of clothing in his backpack and left the store without making payment. The thief pushed a loss prevention officer who attempted to stop him as he ran from the store, police said.

Police said the suspect is described as a black male wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt with gold lettering, blue jeans and wearing a Northface backpack.

The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
