MHS Senior Receives First Schwartz Science Scholarship
Benjamin Lieber recently received the award that honors a former MHS student.
Millburn High School senior Benjamin Lieber recently was named the first recipient of the B. Robert Schwartz Memorial Science Scholarship.
The stipend will be awarded yearly to a promising senior science student who plans to continue academic studies in chemistry or related sciences. It is a tribute to Bob Schwartz, a professional chemist and longtime Millburn resident who valued hard work, self-motivation and a focus on excellence. This award is given to the student who exemplifies these values.
The award was presented to Lieber by members of the Schwartz family—his widow Marilyn, his son Dr. George Schwartz (MHS '64) and his daughter Barbara Schwartz (MHS '68).
