The 2011 Millburn High School Girls Volleyball team took to the court Monday for their home opener against Newark Academy.
Led by senior co-captains Michelle Brauer, Alexis Perry and Melissa Rayvid, the Millers were looking to rebound from last week's defeat to Cedar Grove.
In the opening match the Millers quickly fell behind 3-0, but rallied to take the lead at 9-6, on the strength of service points from Rayvid. The visitors stormed back to take a 20-14 lead and held on for the game 1 victory, 25-18. Tiffany Chan chipped in with 2 points on her serve.
