Millburn 10 Year-Old League Team Finishes with Championships
The team had four championships, including three tournaments and the league title.

The Millburn 10-year-old league summer all-star baseball team convincingly won the South Brunswick Tournament July 29 with an 8-2 victory over Marlboro. Millburn was 6-0 in the tournament.
The next day, Millburn won the Suburban League Championship with a 6-1 victory over a tough West Essex team.
In the finals of the South Brunswick tournament, pitchers Kyle Mazer, Raj Kapur and Michael Kologu combined to allow only two runs on four hits and nine strikeouts.

The game was decided during a two-out rally in the third inning started by Jonathan Wang and Jack Haber. During the inning, Millburn scored five runs to extend its 3-2 lead. Highlighting the offense were Max Steffan with three RBI and a triple and Kyle Speckhart also with three RBI and a double. Millburn's strong pitching and defense held Marlboro scoreless during the last three innings.
In the championship game of the Suburban League, pitchers Matt Skolnick and Kyle Mazer allowed only one run on four hits and six strikeouts. Millburn opened the scoring in the second inning with a solo homerun by Kyle Speckhart. With the scored tied 1-1, Matt Skolnick led off the fifth inning with a ground rule double and scored on a single by Max Steffen. Michael Helmacy then hit an RBI triple, scoring Steffen, and then scored on an error to increase the Millburn lead to 4-1. In the sixth inning, Kyle Mazer drove in Johnny Wang with a single and Michael Kologlu drove in the final run of the game with a single.

For the season, Millburn's record was 27-2-1 with three tournament championships in addition to being the Suburban League champions.
