The Millburn 11-12s league team went 6-0 in the last week of play.
The team won all three Cerbo League games this week to improve their record to 6-2. The team won a slugfest on July 6, beating the Cerbo Sun Devils 17-13 at Gero Park. Zach Gotsh and Will Elder drove in four runs each, and Ethan Podell and Alex Hou had two RBI. Gotsch pitched three innings, striking out three batters, and RJ Serruto pitched one inning giving up only one run. Millburn led 15-3 after four innings, but the Cerbo Sun Devils scored 10 runs in the fifth and sixth inning. Jake Sauberman pitched the final one and one-third inning to hold off the Cerbo Sun Devils.
Millburn won the second Cerbo league game on July 7 against the Montclair Snipers 16-2 at Montclair. The game was stopped after five innings. Alex Hou and Brandon Rosenberg stuck out a combined 13 batters. RJ Serruto drove in three runs with a triple, and Ethan Podell and Anthony Amorosa had two RBI each. Zach Gotsch and Podell also scored three runs each.

Millburn won the third Cerbo league game 12-11 on July 8 against the Englewood Express at Gero. Millburn led 1-0 when RJ Serruto singled home Jake Sauberman in the first inning. Englewood quickly tied the score the top of the second inning and score five more runs in the top of the third to take a 6-1 lead. Max Lechtman led off the bottom of the third with a walk, and after Daniel Stern got on base on an error. Anthony Amorosa stroked a single to right field to drive home Lechtman and Stern. Amorosa advanced on a pass ball and after one out scored on a Jake Sauberman single to left field. Ethan Podell doubled to put runners on second and third and RJ Serruto walked to load the bases. Sauberman scored on a sacrifice fly to right by Alex Hou and Will Elder drove in the tying run with a single to right.
After Englewood took the lead again in the top of the fifth 7-6, Millburn scored three runs in the bottom of the inning to lead 9-7. Podell scored the first run of the inning on a wild pitch and Elder drove two more runs in with a single to right field. Englewood scored three runs in the top of the sixth to retake the lead once again 10-9.

In the bottom of the sixth Millburn rallied once again to score three runs to take a 12-10. With one out, Daniel Stern had a good at bat fighting off four pitches before drawing a walk. Anthony Amorosa singled to right field to advance Stern to third. Stern stole home on a wild pitch. Zach Gotsch followed with a single to put two runners on and Sauberman delivered a bases clearing double to plate the final two runs of the inning. Brandon Rosenberg pitched the final inning striking out 2 batters while giving up only one run to secure the win.
Millburn won three games in pool play at the Branchburg tournament over the weekend to go 3-0.
Millburn won the opening game 10-5 against Upper Saddle River. RJ Serruto had a single and double to drive in two runs, and Will Elder drove in two runs with a single. Alex Hou also drove in a run.
Millburn mercied Somerville 16-5 in the second game of the tournament. Serruto drove in five runs with a three-run home run and a two-run double. Max Lechtman drove in three runs with a double, and Sam Nacht and Zach Gotsch had two RBI each.
Millburn won an exciting 8-6 game against South Orange in the final game of the weekend. Millburn led 8-0 after three innings. Daniel Stern delivered a two-run double in the bottom of the second when Millburn scored five runs. Sam Nacht had a RBI single in the bottom of the third when Millburn scored three times. Nacht also pitched the sixth inning to preserve the win. Ethan Podell started and pitched five solid inning striking out eight batters.
