In Millburn: $15,000 Handbag Theft, $5,000 Wallet Shoplifting, Stolen Pen and Sunglasses

On 5/22/2015, Millburn Police Officer Silance responded to the Salvatore Ferragamo store at The Mall at Short Hills on a report of a theft that had just occurred. Salvatore Ferragamao personnel report eight wallets, valued at $5,000, missing from a display. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Department Detective Bureau.

On 5/23/2015, Millburn Police Officer Tichenor responded to Neiman Marcus at The Mall at Short Hills on a report of a theft that had just occurred. Neiman Marcus personnel reported that two males grabbed four handbags valued at $15,000 and fled the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Department Detective Bureau.

On 5/24/2015, Millburn Police Officer Tichenor responded to the Sunglass Hut at The Mall at Short Hills on a report of a theft that had just occurred. Sunglass Hut personnel reported that a female selected a pair of sunglasses valued at $250, put them on and left the store without making payment. Martha Ravitz, age 60, out of Morristown was located in the mall and placed under arrest. Ravitz was charged with shoplifting and released pending a court date.

On 5/24/2015, Millburn Police Officer Pinero responded to Montblanc at The Mall at Short Hills on a report of a theft that had just occurred. Montblanc personnel reported that a female took a $935 pen and left the store without making payment. Michelle Schwartz, age 54, out of Cliffside Park was located in the mall and placed under arrest. Schwartz was charged with shoplifting and released pending a court date.
