Millburn BOE Approves 4 Renovation Projects: What To Know

Roofs at two elementary schools will be replaced, according to the board of education.

MILLBURN, NJ — A number of schools in the Millburn school district will undergo renovations after the board of education approved funding for the projects last week.

On June 15, the Millburn Board of Education approved four projects totaling $132,115.

Most notably, the Millburn Middle School and Glenwood Elementary School will have its roof repaired at a cost of more than $21,000.

There will also be painting work done district wide at a cost of more than $34,000.

Deerfield Elementary School will have its doors replaced at a cost of $32,000.

Here is the rundown of all projects approved by the board of education.

  • Deerfield Elementary School — Door replacements —$32,000 (partially funded by the PTO)
  • District‑wide painting — will be done by Northeast Interior Services — $34,392
  • Alarm system monitoring/inspection — $43,860
  • Roof repairs — Millburn Middle School and Glenwood Elementary School — $21,863
