Millburn Boys Cross Country Team - Undefeated Conference Season
The Millburn Boys Varsity Cross Country Team finished its regular season in the SEC as the undefeated (9-0) champions.
On September 25, 2018, the Millburn Boys Varsity Cross Country team finished its regular season in the Super Essex Conference in first place, and undefeated with a record of 9-0. Leading the way for the team was Ramsey Little (Sr.), who won each race this season. Other varsity contributors, pictured left to right are Nolan Shan (Jr.), Evan Feldman (Fr.), Hayden Grossman (So.), Zachary Liu-Walter (Fr.), Casper Vestergaard (Jr.), Tomas Silberberg (Sr.), Arjun Patel (Jr.), Little (Sr.), Zachary Williams (Sr.), Kasim Musaji (So.), Sam Eisner (Jr.), and Sam Schrage (Sr.). The team also awaits the return from injury of Andrew Fresen (Sr.). The final race of the regular season at Branch Brook Park in Newark was won by Little, followed by Williams, Schrage, Eisner and Musaji, with Millburn taking the top 5 overall positions. The day was quite an adventure as all competitors faced torrential rain, making some sections of the course more appropriate for the swimming geese than the high school runners. Nonetheless, the competitors fought through the conditions for continued success this season. An excited Coach Jeffrey Kaye, Head Coach of the Millburn Boys Cross Country team, explained: “I'm proud of the team for how they competed in each of the SEC meets this season, whether in the pouring rain or the steamy heat. It's nice to regain the SEC title after a tough season last year. The boys have worked hard, and the results show. We all cannot wait to see how the rest of this championship season unfolds.”
