Millburn Breaks Ground On New Turf Field
The work behind the Millburn Free Public Library is expected to be completed in December.

MILLBURN, NJ -The weather is cooling down, but the turf field project behind the Millburn Free Public Library is heating up.
A ground breaking ceremony before the work took place Sept. 27 and officials from Millburn Township and Board of Education officials were present. The field is being funded by the Township of Millburn and designed by the Recreation Department for youth level soccer, mini soccer, boys and girls lacrosse and field hockey.
The Library field is partially owned by the Board of Education and the Township of Millburn and through a cooperative lease agreement, the field will also be used during the day for Middle School physical education classes and frosh level practices and a limited number of games, officials said.
