Millburn Vehicle Burglaries: Where Have They Happened In February?

Millburn police say that more than a dozen car burglaries took place in the township in February of 2017. See where they took place here.

MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn police say that more than a dozen car burglaries took place in the township in February of 2017.

Patch complied the following list of incidents from the Millburn Police Department blotters covering Feb. 1 to Feb. 28. It may not represent the full scope of police activity during that time frame.

  • Feb. 4 to 5 - Millburn police responded to five reports of burglaries to motor vehicles. Residents from Northern Drive, Park Place, Knollwood Road, Nottingham Road, and Athens Road report unknown actor/s entered vehicles parked in their driveways. The resident from Athens Road was the only victim reporting items were taken (laptop and work files). The vehicles entered were a 2015 Audi, 2015 Mercedes Benz, 2010 Mercedes Benz, 2014 Land Rover, and a 2015 Mercedes Benz.
  • Feb. 10 - Millburn police responded to reports of burglaries to motor vehicles on Linden St., Berkeley Rd., Myrtle Ave., Maple St. and Maple Terrace. The vehicles entered were a 2004 Toyota, 2014 GMC Pickup, 2008 Chrysler Aspen,2015 Honda Odyssey, 2002 Subaru Forester,2015 Jeep Wrangler, 2010 GMC Acadia, and a 2017 Subaru Outback. The Maple Street and Maple Terrace victims reported change was taken from the vehicles. The other victims reported nothing missing.
  • Feb. 10 – A Millburn police officer responded to 150 JFK Pkwy on a burglary to motor vehicle report. The victim reports parking his 2014 Honda Accord in the lot in the morning, and returning at 9:30 p.m. to find the front driver side window shattered and the airbag and horn stolen.
  • Feb. 11 – A Millburn police officer responded to a Wyoming Avenue residence on a burglary to a motor vehicle report. The victim reports looking out the window and observing a thin male get out of a grey Infiniti and enter her 2014 Porsche parked on the street. The victim yelled at the male who then fled. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.
  • Feb. 21 – A Millburn police officer responded to a Highland Avenue residence on a burglary to vehicle report. The resident reports sometime overnight unknown actor/s entered her 2015 Chevrolet Suburban and husband's 2013 Ford F150 and rummaged through the center consoles. Nothing appeared to be missing.
  • Feb. 22 – A Millburn police officer responded to a Knollwood Road residence on a burglary to vehicle report. The resident reports sometime overnight unknown actor/s entered her 2014 Mercedes Benz ML3 and rummaged through the glove compartment. Nothing appeared to be missing.
  • Feb. 23 - Millburn police officers responded to Bodwell Terrace, Winding Way, and Great Hills Drive on reports of burglaries to motor vehicles. The residents' report sometime overnight unknown actors entered a 2011 Nissan Rogue, 2012 Volvo 560, 2015 Honda Pilot, 2011 Toyota Prius, and a 2008 Honda CRV and rummaged through the center consoles and glove compartments. The Great Hills Drive resident reports $10 in change missing.
