Millburn: Cops Arrest 21-Year-Old Man for Carjacking Mercedes Benz
Police spot the stolen car in South Orange and apprehend alleged thief.
Millburn police arrested Jasil Jackson, a 21-year-old male from Springfield, for allegedly carjacking a Mercedes Benz GL450 on Thursday.
According to a release, a Millburn woman reported being carjacked on Millburn Avenue by a male wearing a black hoodie with white writing. The man allegedly grabbed her keys and phone, then stole her car and fled west on Route 124.
Police said that they located the vehicle on South Orange Ave. and Wyoming Ave in South Orange, and managed to stop the driver, later identified as Jackson, without incident.

Police took Jackson into custody and charged him with carjacking and robbery. He was taken to the Essex County Jail pending a court date.
