Millburn Cops Get Creative For Autism Awareness

MILLBURN, NJ - The Millburn Police Department has partnered with fellow police officers from the Chatham Borough, Harding, Madison, Chatham Township, Morris Township and West Orange Police Departments in the Autism Police Patch Challenge.

According to authorities, the primary goal of the Autism Police Patch Challenge is to promote Autism Awareness and Acceptance in every community throughout the country. On average 1 out of every 59 children will be diagnosed with some form of Autism Spectrum Disorder, officials said.

Patches are on sale for $5 each. All proceeds from the sales will again be donated to Autism Speaks, a local non-profit that provides assistance to the local Autism Community.
