Millburn Cops: Man Tried To Buy $12K Of Jewelry With Stolen Credit Card
Millburn police arrested a man after he allegedly bought jewelry with a stolen card at the Cartier store at The Mall at Short Hills.
MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn police arrested a man last week after he and an accomplice allegedly tried to purchase more than $12,300 in jewelry at The Mall At Short Hills using a stolen credit card, authorities say.
According to the Millburn Police Department, an officer responded to the Cartier store at the mall on May 11 after receiving a report about a possible credit card fraud. Store personnel told the officer that two men purchased jewelry valued at $12,370 using a stolen credit card.
The officer found one of the suspects near the scene, Jie Sun, 28, of Flushing, New York, and apprehended him after a foot chase, police said.

Authorities charged Sun with theft by deception, forgery and possession of a counterfeit government document, and released him with a summons. Millburn detectives are conducting an investigation into the incident.
