Millburn CSA Celebrates 10 Years Of Fresh Veggies, Healthy Food
The Millburn-based Farm & Fork Society began in a family garage. It now serves more than 100 local families, members say.

MILLBURN, NJ — As the weather begins to (hopefully) warm up and thoughts of foodies throughout Essex County turn to fresh veggies, a local Community Supported Agriculture group is preparing to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
For more than a decade, local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Farm & Fork Society has been dedicated to “building an integrated community” between its farmer partners and members in Millburn-Short Hills, Maplewood-South Orange, Summit, Livingston, West Orange and other nearby towns in Essex County.
The CSA was started by Melissa Goldberg of Short Hills in 2008 after she and a gathering of local citizens got together with a common goal: to provide their families with healthy, organic and sustainably grown produce sourced from local farmers.

According to Farm & Fork, the CSA’s first season began in the Goldberg’s family garage with 30 families and one farmer. Over the years, the Farm & Fork Society outgrew the Goldberg’s garage and now serves more than 100 local families.
It now includes shares from Circle Brook Farm in Andover, Breezy Hill Orchard in Staatsburg, New York, Knoll Krest Farm in Clinton Corners, New York, The Foraged Feast in Maplewood, Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse in Milford and River Bend Farm in Peapack.
