MILLBURN, NJ — Where can you find the best sandwich in New Jersey? In Millburn, that’s where, a report says.
Spoon University recently compiled a list of the nation’s “best sandwiches” for 2016, and unsurprisingly, a Millburn deli made the cut to represent the Garden State. Their selection? The Millburn Deli’s “Godfadda,” a sub sandwich that features a fried chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, bacon and homemade Russian dressing.

The deli, located at 328 Millburn Avenue, has been popular with locals since opening in 1946. There are colorful, sarcastic signs and figurines hanging all over the walls—even on the ceiling—and a menu with so much variety it makes your head spin.

Although the deli has been a local favorite for over six decades, it has further solidified its place in the Sandwich Hall of Fame with such accolades as the 2010 critics' and reader's choice for “Best Kosher Style Deli” in New Jersey Monthly Magazine. The deli also boasts four Facebook groups dedicated to singing its praises.
