Millburn Ed Foundation Ready For Rocktoberfest 2017 Event
On October 1, the Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills will hold their 2nd Annual Rocktoberfest event.

MILLBURN-SHORT HILLS, NJ - From the Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills: Anticipation is building for The Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills Rocktoberfest, a community-wide celebration that will be held on Saturday, October 1 at Taylor Park.
The event will include a Fun Run, a STEAM expo, inflatables and crafts for kids, and hours of live music. Food will be available for purchase from local restaurants and a wine and beer tent will be open from noon to 7 pm.
This is the 2nd annual Rocktoberfest. Last year’s event also celebrated the re-opening of Main Street after construction.

According to Ed Foundation Co-President, Lauri Palomaki:
“Amazingly the word of our Rocktoberfest has spread and for our 2nd Annual Rocktoberfest we had to actually turn bands away. We are looking forward to a fabulous event with music plus the addition of the fun run, expo and activities. We welcome all ages of our community to enjoy spending time together while we raise money for our school district.”
Participants in the STEAM expo, to be held in the Bauer Center, include the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Other hands-on workshops offered at the expo include local businesses, such as Front & Center Performing Arts School, First Floor Fairytales, So.i.Heard House of Music, Soulfege A Cappella, Music and More, Farbrook School, Millburn Institute of Talent, Joe Gill Home Remodeling, Renaissance Art Studio and Hedwig Gruenwald Early Childhood Center.

Live music will include local talent such as Millburn High School’s, Soulfege A Cappella, Mrs. Eller and
the Fellers, and Poet Section. The Ed Foundation is excited to present headliner Particle, in addition to

A wristband can be purchased for $20 and include admission to the Fun Run, the STEAM Expo and unlimited access to the inflatable rides. There is a $5 cover charge for the Biergarten that can be purchased at the event. There is no charge for the hours of live music.
All proceeds from the day’s event will benefit The Ed Foundation which last year funded $185,000 in gifts to Millburn’s eight schools.
