Millburn Heroin Arrest: Man Found ‘Slumped Over’ At Trader Joe’s, Cops Say

Millburn police charged a man with heroin possession after allegedly finding him passed out on a cart in the Trader Joe's parking lot.

MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn police charged a man with heroin possession after allegedly finding him passed out on a shopping cart in the Trader Joe’s parking lot on Sunday, authorities said.

According to the Millburn Police Department, an officer on patrol allegedly found a 60-year-old Millburn man “slumped over and sleeping on a shopping cart” at the grocery store. When awakened, the man reportedly threw a cut straw with heroin residue onto the ground.

The officer found him in possession of an unspecified amount of heroin and placed him under arrest, police said.

Authorities charged him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a summons.
