Millburn High School to Present Night of Jazz Concert on April 30

The free show will be held in conjunction with Jazz Appreciation Month.

Are you looking to celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month?

The Music Department of Millburn High School will present its annual “Night of Jazz” concert on Thursday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m., in the high school auditorium.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Featured ensembles include the high school’s Stage Band and Lab Band and the Middle School Jazz Band. Selections will include music by Gordon Goodwin, Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, Quincy Jones and Clifford Brown. The MHS Saxophone Quartet will perform in the lobby pre-concert.

MHS Seniors Daniel Altschuler, Cole Bond, Louis Danowsky, Lauren Gomez, Mark Russell Gomez, Christopher Lassiter, Noah Lombos, Dev Patel, and Griffin Schwab will be honored and recognized with their respective ensembles.

According to a release, the concert will be professionally recorded and orders will be accepted in the lobby. In addition, orders for the high school spring concert series, as well as Music Booster membership forms, will be available.
