Millburn High School Senior Holds Charity Tennis Tournament

Millburn High School Senior Siya Juneja organized the inaugural Short Hills Community Charity Tennis Tournament on Sunday July 29th, 2018 to support Phyt Cares, the 501c3 U.S. tax exempt and 1101.01 Puerto Rico tax exempt non-profit arm of Phyt NYC which educates youth and communities in New York City and Puerto Rico through fitness.

The tennis tournament took place at Millburn High School’s Tennis Courts and Juneja raised over $2500 for the charity. Juneja was instrumental in organizing all aspects of the event, from inspiring the community to participate, reaching out to local businesses to sponsor the prizes and provide refreshments for the event.

“Our inaugural Short Hills Community Charity Tennis Tournament was a great success and I look forward to making this an annual tradition to inspire the community to support Phyt Cares,” Juneja said.

“Phyt Cares is extremely honored that Siya Juneja has partnered with our foundation for her inaugural Short Hills Community Charity Tennis Tournament,” said Elana Margulies-Snyderman, Co-Founder, Phyt Cares. “We look forward to partnering with her in the future so we can continue educating more youth and communities through our fitness programs.”

Phyt Cares’ trainers also provided complimentary fitness programs for the youth spectators.

The winners were: Aryn Juneja (1st place); Aditya Bhandari (2nd place); and Daniel Nigiam (3rd place).
