In Millburn: Driver 'Slumps Over' in Traffic, Shoplifting at Saks Fifth Avenue and Suspicious Man Enters Maserati

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are taken directly from the Millburn Police Blotter, which may not include the full scope of police activity in the area. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
On 4/25/2015, Officer Tavares responded to Saks Fifth Ave. at the Mall at Short Hills on a report of a theft. Store security stated that Leila Lane, age 31, of Newark, took a Burberry vest and handed it to Lola Fuller, age 59, of Newark. Fuller then concealed the vest in her personal bag and both parties left the store together. Both parties were stopped and the vest was recovered. Lane and Fuller were both arrested and charged with Shoplifting. Fuller and Lane were both wanted by the Essex County Sheriff’s Office. Fuller and Lane were transported to the Essex County Jail pending a court date.
On 4/26/2015, Officer Delgado responded to Canoe Brook Country Club on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Country Club security stated that black Infinity 050 enter the parking lot and park next to a Maserati 04. A white male dressed in all black then entered the Maserati. The white male then left the scene in the Infinity. Nothing appeared to be taken from the Maserati. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Department Detective Bureau.

On 4/28/2015, Officer Saleski responded to the area of Cypress Street and Ridgewood Road on a report of a truck stopped in the roadway with the driver slumped over. The driver of the vehicle Wade Wilson, age 44, of Millburn, was subsequently arrested following an investigation for driving under the influence of alcohol. Wilson was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and delaying traffic. Wilson was then released pending a court date.
