Millburn Kids To Appear In Local Production Of 'Little Mermaid'

The local theater production of "The Little Mermaid" will be performed over two days next month, and has 37 area students in the cast.

MILLBURN, NJ — Thirty-seven students from New Jersey towns — including Millburn/Short Hills, Maplewood, and South Orange — will appear in a local production of "The Middle Mermaid" next month at the Front & Center for Performing Arts.

Originally scheduled for a January run, the production was delayed due to the projected peak of COVID-19 omicron cases. “The Little Mermaid” will now be performed on Feb. 9 and 10 at Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown, with both shows at 7 p.m.

“Somewhere beyond your imagination, adventure awaits! Join us on this journey during a time when we could ALL use a little extra escape,” said Julie Celeste-Lira the creative director of Front & Center.

The show will be performed at St. Elizabeth University, Dolan Performance Hall, 2 Convent Road,
Morristown.

Mask And Vaccine Requirements

Masks are required in the building, and there are no exceptions. Also, anyone who enters the theatre must show:

  • Proof of vaccination (either your vaccination card or the Docket app)
  • Or a negative COVID-19 PCR test performed by a medical provider within 1-3 days of the performance. The test results must clearly show the date and time of the test.
  • Or a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance start time. The test results must clearly show the date and time of the test.
