Police Blotter: Aug. 4 to 11

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are reprinted directly from the Millburn police blotter, a listing of selected incidents which may not include the full scope of activity in the area. All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On August 4, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to Saint Laurent at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Saint Laurent personnel report a female concealed two handbags valued at $3,540 and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On August 6, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Freem responded to a Fox Hill Lane residence on a report of a burglary. The house is being renovated by a contractor and was entered by an unknown actor/s who forced open a rear balcony door. Various tools and equipment were taken. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On August 7, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Smeraldo responded to The Mall at Short Hills on a report of an assault. The mall patron states a male began yelling at his daughter who was looking at a vehicle on display in the mall. The patron states he placed himself between his daughter and the male who then began yelling at him and eventually punching him in the shoulder. The male then fled the area. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On August 8, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Tavares responded to 206 Millburn Ave on a report of a burglary. The resident reports leaving her silver and purple hybrid Cannondale bicycle, valued at $500, in her closed garage for several hours. The resident reports upon coming home she found her garage door open, her Cannondale bicycle missing, and a silver Schwinn bicycle left in its place. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On August 10, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Lipke responded to Kings on a theft report. Kings personnel report a male entered the store on August 8, 2015, concealed four bottles of liquor valued at $185, and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On August 11, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Nacim stopped Corey Robinson, age 25 out of Irvington, for being in the South Mountain Reservation (Crest Drive) after the curfew. Robinson was found to have an active Union township traffic warrant and was placed under arrest. Robinson was transported to the Union Police Department on their warrant.
