Millburn 'Meets Expectations' In PARCC Assessment
District numbers released show Millburn scoring level four in most categories.

MILLBURN, NJ - On average, the Millburn School District has met expectations in terms of the district-by-district, school-by-school PARCC results released this week.
Patch put together the rankings, from top to bottom, for each grade (high school math was broken into Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II). You can see the complete ranking of every school here.
Many districts in New Jersey performed in the "Level 4" and "Level 5" areas, which is between the scores of 750 and 850, the latter being a perfect score. The score breakdowns are as follows:

Level 1 (650-700): Did Not Yet Meet Expectations
Level 2 (700-725): Partially Met Expectations
Level 3 (725-750): Approached Expectations
Level 4 (750-799): Met Expectations
Level 5 (800-850): Exceeded Expectations
In third grade English Millburn ranked 13 with a score of 790. In fourth grade English Millburn ranked 12 with a score of 794. In fifth grade English Millburn ranked 32 with a score of 781. In sixth grade English Millburn ranked 56 with a score of 776. In seventh grade English Millburn ranked 33 with a score of 790. In eighth grade English Millburn ranked 20 with a score of 795. In ninth grade English Millburn ranked 10 with a score of 785. In tenth grade English Millburn ranked 62 with a score of 767. In eleventh grade English Millburn ranked 230 with a score of 724. In twelfth grade English Millburn ranked 230 with a score of 724.

In third grade math Millburn ranked 11 with a score of 784. In fourth grade math Millburn ranked 10 with a score of 779. In fifth grade math Millburn ranked 15 with a score of 777. In sixth grade math Millburn ranked 28 with a score of 767. In seventh grade math Millburn ranked 8 with a score of 774. In eighth grade math Millburn ranked 55 with a score of 749.
In Algebra I Millburn ranked 7 with a score of 787. In Geometry Millburn ranked 23 with a score of 765. In Algebra II Millburn ranked 18 with a score of 763.
The PARCC tests have been a source of controversy for years, and Gov. Phil Murphy has talked for nearly year about finding replacements for the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers test.
Patch focused on town school districts, charter, vocational and magnet schools. Please note that many students opted out of taking the exam, though New Jersey hasn't said how many.
