Miron said the adage "Students won't care what you know unless they know that you care" always reminded him of Guarino.
"Millburn students always knew that Coach Guarino cared," he said. "Indeed, he had one of the biggest hearts and was one of the friendliest people we knew."
Miron said that the thoughts of the district go out to his family especially his son, daughter, mother, and brother.
"They have been at his side for the last few months," Miron said. "Coach Guarino will be in all of our memories for a long time."
