Millburn Police Apprehend Alleged Grab-And-Go Mall Shoplifter
The Piscataway man tried to steal over $1,000 of clothes from Bloomingdale's, cops say.

Millburn police arrested a Piscataway man following a $1,000 grab-and-go shoplifting attempt at Bloomingdale’s at The Mall at Short Hills on Saturday.
Store employees told police that they witnessed Sarin Patel, 24, grab merchandise from a display and flee the store, escaping in a red Toyota Camry.
A Millburn police officer saw the vehicle travelling on Route 78 East and found it shortly afterwards, parked on Belmont Terrace in Newark with Patel still behind the wheel.

With assistance from a NJ state trooper, the officer arrested Patel, who was later charged with shoplifting eight articles of clothing valued at $1,096, eluding and possession of a CDS.
He was transferred to the Essex County Correctional Facility.
