Millburn Police Blotter: March 8 to 14

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are reprinted directly from the Millburn police blotter, a listing of selected reports that may not include the full scope of activity in the area. All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On March 8, 2016, a 25 year old man from Millburn turned himself in on an outstanding Aberdeen traffic warrant. He posted bail and was released with a new court date.

On March 11, 2016, a Millburn police officer responded to Neiman Marcus at The Mall at Short Hills on a credit card fraud report. Neiman Marcus personnel reported discovering between January 8 and 12, an unknown actor committed credit card frauds totaling $11,183. The actor is described as a black female with brown and blond hair, black leather jacket, blue jeans, black boots and carrying a pink purse. The incidents are under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On March 14, 2016, a Millburn police officer stopped a 21 year old man from Summit after observing him walking on the train tracks near the Millburn station. He was found to have an outstanding Summit criminal warrant and was placed under arrest. A search of his person revealed drug paraphernalia allegedly used to ingest marijuana. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released with new court dates.

On March 14, 2016, Miliburn Police Officer Kaiser responded to True Religion at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. True Religion personnel report a male wearing a green raincoat and off-white shirt concealed two pairs of jeans valued at $228 and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
