Editor’s Note: The following incidents are reprinted directly from the Millburn police blotter, a listing of selected reports that may not include the full scope of activity in the area. All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
On January 12, 2016, Millburn Police Sergeant Deirusso observed a 22-year-old man from Brooklyn writing on a wall with an ink pen inside Millburn headquarters near the court window. The man had previously drawn a picture on the wall with the pen. He was placed under arrest and charged with criminal mischief before being released with a court date.

On January 12, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Pinero responded to Walgreens on a fraud report. Walgreens personnel reported that two males made purchases totaling $782 in visa gift cards and other merchandise with counterfeit credit cards. The first male is described as wearing a camouflage vest, sweat pants, and Nike sneakers. The second male is described as wearing a grey and black sweat suit. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On January 12, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to Neiman Marcus at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Neiman Marcus personnel reported that a 24 year old Newark resident concealed a $325 shirt in a bag and left the store without making payment. The resident was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting before being released with a court date.

On January 12, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Fairchild responded to a Reeve Circle residence on a report of a stolen bicycle. The resident reports locking his gray, 24 speed bicycle to a light post near the Millburn train station at 7 a.m. and returning at 8:30 p.m. noticing it missing. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On January 13, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Cassels responded to Brookstone at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Brookstone personnel report a female with long hair wearing a green jacket concealed five pairs of headphones valued at $649 in a bag and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On January 16, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to Burberrys at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Burberrys personnel reported the theft of a bag valued at $695 from a display on January 15, 2016. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
