Millburn Police Blotter: April 5 to 10

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are reprinted directly from the Millburn police blotter, a listing of selected reports that may not include the full scope of activity in the area. All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
On April 5, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Aliotta responded to Neiman Marcus on a theft report. Neiman Marcus personnel report on April 4, a male took two handbags valued at $9,500 from a display and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On April 5, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Beyer responded to headquarters on a theft report. A mall patron reports being in the Apple store at The Mall at Short Hills on April 4, when she had two credit cards taken from her pocketbook. The actor attempted to make a purchase at Nordstrom, however the transaction was denied when the victim was contacted. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On April 6, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Catinella responded to Gito at 341 Millburn Ave on a theft that occurred on April 5. Gito personnel report a female wearing a black coat, black boots, with long braids concealed a jacket in her handbag. The female was accompanied by a male wearing all black with a black backpack who concealed a handbag under his coat. Both actors then left the store without making payment. The total value of the theft is $2,360. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On April 6, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Whichelns responded to Neiman Marcus on a theft report. Neiman Marcus personnel report a male wearing blue sweatpants and orange sneakers took two jackets valued at $990 from a display and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On April 6, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Whichelns responded to Starbucks at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. The mall patron reports accidentally leaving a Sephora purchase in a bag valued at $179 in Starbucks. The patron reports returning to Starbucks shortly after discovering her purchase missing. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On April 7, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Shanahan stopped a 2003 Ford Focus in the Wells Fargo parking lot after discovering the registration on the vehicle was suspended. The investigation led to the arrest of a 33-year-old Irvington woman for outstanding warrants out of lrvington. She was arrested and issued a summons for the registration before being released with a new court.
On April 9, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Poyner responded to Club Monaco at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Club Monaco personnel report on April 8, a male wearing a blue shirt, navy pants, tan belt and tan shoes removed a Rolex watch valued at $16,500 from a display and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On April 9, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Whichelns responded to Bloomingdale’s on a theft report. Bloomingdale’s personnel report on March 25, a female wearing black pants and a black top concealed a $295 handbag in a shopping bag and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On April 9, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Kaiser responded to Bloomingdale’s on a theft report. Bloomingdale’s personnel report a 34-year-old Brooklyn man concealed a jacket valued at $995 and left the store without making payment. He was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting before being released with a court date.
On April 10, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Aliotta responded to Neiman Marcus on a forgery report. Neiman Marcus personnel report discovering 18 counterfeit $100 bills were passed on April 9 by unknown actor/s. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On April 10, 2016, Millburn Police Officer Tavares responded to Sephora on a theft report. The mall patron reports an unknown actor removed her Coach wallet from her purse while she was in the store. The wallet contained credit cards and her drivers’ license. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
