Millburn Police Blotter: Oct. 6 to 13

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are reprinted from the Millburn police blotter, a listing of selected incidents that may not include the full scope of activity in the area. All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On October 6, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to the Apple store at The Mall at Short Hills on a report of forgery. Apple personnel report an individual, later determined to be a 25-year-old Bronx resident, passed counterfeit one hundred dollar bills for merchandise valued at $1,259. He fled the store and was stopped by Sgt. Delrusso after a foot pursuit. He was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, forgery and theft by deception.

On October 7, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Zonn stopped a 2006 Land Rover at The Mall at Short Hills for being unregistered. The driver of the vehicle, a 24-year-old Bronx resident, was found to have two active Millburn traffic warrants. He was placed under arrest and found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He posted bail on the Millburn warrants and was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

On October 11, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Delgado responded to a Cambridge Drive residence on a report of a residential burglary. The resident reports leaving the residence for several hours and returning to find missing jewelry. The resident reports possibly leaving a door unlocked. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On October 13, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Laverty responded to a Bodweii Terrace residence on a report of a stolen vehicle. The resident reports sometime overnight unknown actor/s stole his 2015 GMC Acadia from the driveway, as well as entering a 2011 MB and taking a shopping bag containing a back brace. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On October 13, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Lipke responded to a Glenwood Drive residence on a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The residents report both of their vehicles parked in the driveway were entered sometime overnight and $12 was missing. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
