Millburn Police Blotter: Oct. 27 to Nov. 2

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are reprinted directly from the Millburn police blotter, a listing of selected incidents that may not include the full scope of activity in the area. All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On October 27, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Tavares responded to Abercrombie at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report that occurred on October 24. Abercrombie personnel report the theft of 36 bottles of Abercrombie fragrances from a display valued at $1,944. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On November 1, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Pinero responded to Bloomingdales at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Bloomingdales personnel report 20 year old Jennifer Nervil out of Brooklyn concealed $2193.00 worth of merchandise in a bag and left the store without making payment. Nervil was accompanied by 20 year old Jocelyn Cruz out of Brooklyn who concealed $2,102 worth of merchandise in a bag and left the store without making payment. Nervil was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting and possession of an antishoplifting device. Cruz was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Both actors were released pending a court date.

On November 2, 2015, Millburn Police Officer Aliotta responded to Kings on a theft report. Kings personnel report a male approximately 40 years old wearing a black vest, blue jeans, multi-colored head wear, with shoulder length dread locks concealed two bottles of liquor valued at $81 inside his vest before leaving the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
