Millburn Police Charge N.Y. Women With Mall Theft, Assault
Millburn police arrested two women bearing the same last name at Bloomingdale's last week.

Millburn, NJ – Millburn police arrested two women bearing the same last name from Manhattan last week after the pair allegedly put up a struggle with officers during a reported shoplifting incident.
According to the Millburn Police Department, an officer responded to the Bloomingdale’s at the Mall at Short Hills on a theft report on Jan. 14.
Police charge that Sherrae Givens-Lovett, 52, of Manhattan, N.Y., attempted to return an allegedly stolen jacket – valued at $825 - for cash. According to police, Givens-Lovett allegedly “resisted arrest” and assaulted the arresting officer when confronted.

Authorities charged Givens-Lovett with shoplifting, resisting arrest, and aggravated assault.
In addition, authorities also charged another woman - Shemira Lovett, 20, also of Manhattan – with criminal mischief, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice in connection with the alleged theft.
