Millburn Police Charge Teen With Burglary, Car Theft

The juvenile allegedly broke into the home, stole a key fob and wallet, and drove away with the homeowner's BMW, police said.

MILLBURN, NJ — A teen was charged in connection with home burglary that recently took place in Millburn, police announced Wednesday.

The Millburn Police Department released the following details about the investigation:

“On Jan. 20, 2026, [a Millburn police detective] completed an investigation into a residential burglary at a Far Brook Drive residence. The suspect gained entry into the home, stole the homeowner’s key fob and wallet, and then used the key fob to steal a BMW from the driveway. As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old juvenile male was charged with juvenile delinquency (burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, conspiracy, and credit card fraud).”
