Millburn Police: Man In 'Weird Cat Shirt' Tried To Use Counterfeit $100 Bills

Millburn police said that a man was wearing a "weird cat shirt" when he allegedly tried to pass off a fake $100 at The Mall At Short Hills.

A man clad in a “weird cat shirt” recently attempted to go shopping at The Mall At Short Hills with fake $100 bills, according to authorities.

Store personnel at Gymboree reported that a man clad in the unusual-looking shirt tried to pay for a $31 purchase using an allegedly fake $100 bill.

The Gymboree employee declined the transaction, police said.

Store personnel at Hollister reported that a man in a white shirt and jeans used a counterfeit bill to pay for a $30 purchase on the same day, according to police.

Both incidents are under investigation, police said.
