Want To Help The Waterway? Millburn Residents Can Come To Rahway River Cleanup

Participants in the Millburn event will learn about invasive species and more. The limit is 30 participants. Wear your mud shoes.

MILLBURN, NJ — The Millburn Township Environmental Commission has invited residents (including children ages 8 and up) to come to a Rahway River Cleanup on Sunday, April 30.

The cleanup will begin at the Millburn Free Public Library and travel through Downtown Millburn.

Participants will learn about invasive species along the riverbank, and the importance of keeping waterways clean.

However, the event will be capped at 30 participants. Those interested should fill out the form at the following link: Rahway River Cleanup Registration.

In order to participate, you must print, sign and bring a waiver to the event. Access your waiver here: Waiver Form.

Organizers say, "We will be in the river, so please dress appropriately! Wear waterproof shoes, long pants and warm layers. Children must be 8 years old and up. Bags and supplies will be provided.

"Participants will have an opportunity to learn about invasive species along the banks and the importance of keeping our waterways clean!"
