Millburn’s Paper Mill Playhouse Preps For Summer Renovation

MILLBURN, NJ — The next time someone sits down in the Paper Mill Playhouse to get a dose of local theater, their seat may have your name on it.

As part of a planned renovation this summer, the Millburn theater company will replace all of its interior seating, the nonprofit announced earlier this week.

Theater supporters are invited to contribute to the seat campaign by purchasing a name plate as part of the Paper Mill Playhouse’s “Name a Seat” fundraiser. The renovations will be complete in time to open the 2018-2019 season in September. Call 973-315-1659 or visit www.PaperMill.org/grabaseat to order a seat or for more information. Seat name recognition does not guarantee any seat location for future performances. Pricing for seat locations is: Orchestra seats $3,000; Mezzanine Box seats $1,500; Mezzanine seats $750.

The summer renovation is being funded by the Ferolito family, according to the theater.

“We have been staunch supporters of Paper Mill Playhouse for more than two decades,” said Trustee Carolyn Ferolito. “Paper Mill Playhouse is a New Jersey gem that contributes greatly to the quality of life in our state. We are proud of the many education programs Paper Mill provides that extend beyond our campus and impacts our communities. We are happy to provide the resources for the needed renovation of the theatre.”

“This very generous gift from the Ferolito family will be transformational for the theater and our ability to serve the community," said Paper Mill Playhouse Board Chair James Fakult. “The philanthropic support of individuals like the Ferolitos is greatly appreciated and of vital importance to arts organizations like Paper Mill Playhouse.”
