In Millburn: School Busing Applications Now Available for Next Year

School officials remind parents of June 12 deadline.

Are you planning on using subscription busing in Millburn next year? Time to get those applications in.

Applications for subscription busing are now available for the 2015-2016 school year, and can be found on the Transportation Department webpage.

Students who do not qualify for mandated transportation can apply for subscription busing. Past participation does not guarantee a seat, so all prior participants must re-subscribe for the 2015-2016 school year.

All applications must be submitted online using the Community Pass website. Directions for online applications can also be found on the Transportation webpage.

Applications must be submitted online by the deadline of Friday, June 12, either by paying in total, or by paying an initial deposit of $348 per child up to $696 per family. The remaining payment will be due on Feb. 12, 2016.

Application requests received after June 12 - with the exception of new residents - will be put on a waiting list and will not be scheduled for busing before September 14, if seats are still available on the appropriate bus.

A waiver of the $580 per student charge is available for families who meet the qualifying income level threshold of $81,586. Families interested in applying for the waiver must submit the waiver form with the subscription busing application to the Business Office, along with the acceptable income eligibility proofs listed on the form.

Bus Route information and bus passes will be mailed to families in August.
