Millburn Sees Power Outages During Storm (Here's Who To Call)

Millburn hasn't been spared the wrath of the nor'easter. Here's the number to call if your power cuts off.

MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn hasn’t been spared the wrath of the nor’easter.

On Friday afternoon, Millburn town officials released the following advisory:

“The nor’easter will continue thru the evening. Expect high winds while the storm continues. Several outages were reported to the township. Report downed wires to 9-1-1, and outages to JCP&L at 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877), or click the ‘Report Outage’ link on www.firstenergycorp.com

Millburn officials added:

“Do not approach downed wires, and always assume they are live. Use caution when utilizing generators. Drive safely, and only if necessary. The township will provide updates as they become available to the website and social media outlets.”

Battalion Chief Thomas Pizzano issued the following alert on Friday afternoon via Swiftreach:

"WESTERN DRIVE BETWEEN MORAINE PLACE AND TAYLOR ROAD CLOSED DUE TO A TREE AND POWER LINES ACROSS THE ROAD"
