Millburn's travel soccer teams continued their seasons last week, and here are the results:
On Friday the Millburn Titans exploded for an 11-5 win under the lights against the Ridgefield Blast. Noah Schwab and Ben Kessler each had hat tricks; Reese Little netted two; and Nick Maldonado, Ben Bograd and Matt Jordan contributed a goal each. Ben Pampush starred on defense and Kyle Speckhart had a great game in goal.
The Millburn Torpedoes played to a spirited scoreless tie against the Hillsborough Thunder on Saturday at Millburn High School. Kyle Jacobs and Jack Simon nearly scored for the Torpedoes while Brandon Hersh starred in goal.

On Sunday the Millburn U-8 Rockets beat the West Orange Eagles 5-2. Jason Stollo started the scoring to even up the score. Alex Migoya added two, and Tommy Wachtel and Ben Lipkin each added a goal. Reid Fitzsimons and Lipkin also recorded assists.

Matthew Knowles headed the ball into the goal off a throw in, and Ben Kessler, Matt Jordan and Ben Bograd each scored in a 4-1 Titans victory over the Monroe Blast. Nick Maldonado, Johnny Wang and Sam Herbst played stellar defense.
The Meteors defeated the Metuchen Eclipse 4-1. Goals were scored by Connor Kirkwood, Emre Duman and two from Romeo Ruiz. Sean Klein and Jake Ruderman excelled in goal, and Dan Stern, Mike Altrui, Jamie Barker and Ollie Cohen played stellar defense.
The Millburn Blaze battled the Hillsborough Explosion and came out with a 4-2 victory. Thomas Barraque scored three goals with assists from Joseph Cicenia, Tyler Barishaw and Zach Graves. Ethan Lenner scored the final Millburn goal. Spencer Solit and Brandon Krikorian excelled in defense for a winning effort.
The Millburn Sting visited the Bridgewater Avalanche and came away with a 4-2 win. Goal scorers were Jess Alexander (two), Erin Blank and Allie Hopper. The win was marked by a terrific defensive effort highlighted by Elisa Dalton, Lindsey Dinowitz, Lauren O'Neil and Sam Okinow.
The Pennington Panthers defeated the Millburn Jaguars 1-0. Millburns stellar defense was led my Samantha Kent, Lucy Grebin and Jordan Hsu The Millburn Inferno lost to the Readington Rascals 3-0. Despite the loss, the Inferno faced tough goaltending and received excellent play from Tyler Adelman, Jack Paris and Daniel Horgan.
The Millburn Flash won a hard fought 1-0 victory over the Oceanport Lady Knights Blue. Melissa Gates scored the only goal of the game with an assist from Emma Hou. The Flash got stellar goaltending from Emily Mester who made numerous saves in preserving the shutout. Anna Nesser played stellar defense and made several key stops in the last five minutes of the game when the Flash withstood furious attempts by Oceanport to tie the game.
The Millburn Braves (U10) lost to the Flemington Wolverines 1-0 in Flemington. Henry Cohen and Neel Sambamurthy played outstanding defense for the Braves. Adam Schwartz was in goal.
The Tornadoes were edged 2-0 by Princeton Arsenal in a game where the result could have gone either way. Phoebe Oxley turned in a fine performance on the right wing, creating several chances. She was unlucky to be denied early in the second half by a fine save. Clare Hernon and Mica MacInnes were both excellent in wide defensive positions with Eva Melendes playing her usual anchor role in the middle of the back four.
