Millburn Students Explain 'What Korea Means To Me'

Parents organization announces the winners of their annual essay and scholarship contest.

The Korean Parents Organization of Millburn and Short Hills has announced the winners of their fifth annual Essay and Scholarship Contest.

According to a release, the contest was open to all Millburn High School students. The participants were asked to write an essay on the topic of “What Korea Means to Me.”

“We received a number of essays, so it wasn’t easy to select just 5 winners,” said Lisa Son, scholarship chair. “In the end, the prize essays best represented a broad range of topics related to Korea, including thoughts about its history and popular culture, and personal experiences that highlighted differences with Korean-American lifestyles.”
