Millburn Students Learn About The Day Of The Dead
Students in the 6th grade Spanish classes at Millburn Middle School learned about Mexican culture via a traditional holiday celebration.
They call it the Day of the Dead in Mexico.

On Nov. 1 and 2, teachers María Deraville, Mae Ward and Angela Plumacker continued the class’ annual tradition of researching, studying and preparing presentations and displays about the meaning of the holiday.

As part of their classwork, students researched in the school’s Library Media Center and participated in conversations to compare the perspectives of the Mexican culture to their own traditions and culture in the USA.
