Millburn Summer Swim Team Starts Off with a Splash - Three Wins, One Loss
Millburn Summer Swim Team 2016
Millburn's summer swim team kicked off the season with three strong wins on June 29th, June 30th and July 7th against Berkeley Heights, Livingston and Verona. Millburn's winning scores were 247 to 188, 250 to 182 and 232 to 204, respectively. These were big wins for Millburn as the team just moved up to Division 2 this year. Millburn was just nudged of a victory on July 6th against Madison as they finished the meet 7 points under at 217.5 versus 224.5.
The 85-member team, one of the largest in years, is led by head coach Jonas Singer and assistant coach Sarah Speckhart. Coach Jonas put it best by saying "we are proud of our swimmers, they have an insatiable excitement and drive to always do their best." The kids will keep the momentum going forward as they swim Madison and Verona again this week. Let's go Blue and White!
