Millburn Youth Baseball Teams Set for Regions

It's going to be a busy weekend for three of Millburn's youth baseball program.

On Monday night, the 13u youth baseball squad defeated Manalapan 4-1 in Bloomfield, becoming the fourth Millburn squad to capture a Northern New Jersey state championship this season. Click here for a full story from The Item.

The next stop for the 13u team is Colonie, N.Y. for the Babe Ruth Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament.

The 11u, 12u and 14u teams also advanced to their respective regional championship tournaments, with the 12u team being eliminated earlier in the week. The 11u squad is in Severn, Md., and the 14u group will play this weekend in La Plata, Md.

The first matches in pool play are on Friday with the 11u team against home team Severn at 2 p.m. and the 13u team against South Jersey at 11:30 a.m. On Saturday, the 14s begin pool play with a match against Charles County at noon. Each team will play four games over the weekend.
