Millburn's Memorial Day Parade: Grand Marshal Served At German Border
Dozens of groups will participate in Monday's Memorial Day Parade in Millburn. A Short Hills man will be the grand marshal.
MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn will honor those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice with its Memorial Day Parade on Monday (May 30).
The parade will begin its march at 11 a.m. The parade route runs from Millburn High School to Taylor Park. "There will also be several bands, pipes, drums, and local talent playing music throughout the day," said the township.
The Grand Marshal this year is Dr. Richard Riva, DDS, a Short Hills resident and Armored Cavalry officer who served along the East-West German Border from 1968 to 1970, said Schools Superintendent Christine Burton in a message on Thursday.

Millburn American Legion Post 140 will host the parade.

Burton said in her email, "Come out to cheer on the local organizations and Township departments who will be marching in this wonderful community event! There will also be several bands, pipes, drums, and local talent lending music to the day."
