Millers Tennis Ends Regular Season on High Note

The boys beat Montclair Kimberley Academy twice on Friday.

The Millburn boys tennis team finished one rained-out match with Montclair Kimberley Academy Friday and promptly played another, winning both.

A week ago at MKA's home courts, Miller first doubles Dan Feldman and Mac Johnson defeated Conor Breen and Jason Kwan 6-1,-6-1, and Miller second doubles siblings Sebastian and Nicky Chen-Schmidt beat Zach Schatz and Chris Blantz 6-2, 6-2. MKA's Matt Dumoff defeated Jared Wishnow at second singles, 6-2, 6-3.

But the final two matches, between Rob Xie and Cougar Shaunak Champeneria on the first singles court and Miller Teddy Moskovitz and Brandon Kwan at third singles, were interrupted midway by a sudden downpour. Friday both of those final points were won by Millburn. Xie's final score was 6-0, 4-6, 6-3, and Moskovitz's was 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. The match went to Millburn, 4-1.
