St. Rose of Lima Academy welcomed a record 14 students into the St. Rose of Lima Academy Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society this week.

Leia Asmerom, Kathleen Byrne, Patrick Campbell, Ella Cilli, Avery Espiritu, Elizabeth Floyd, Frederick Groppe, Daniel Guarnieri, Greta Haines, Ella Mansfield, Nicolas Marchisio, Rebecca Ryan, Tess Schram, and Angelica Fata will be formally inducted into the Society at a ceremony to be held in March.
In announcing these awards, Principal Tina Underwood and Ms. Jane Katz, faculty adviser for the program, praised the achievements of these excellent, well-rounded students: “You and your family can be proud of this accomplishment. Your selection is based upon careful consideration of your scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character by our chapter’s Faculty Council.”

The National Junior Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.
St. Rose of Lima Academy, established in 1869, is a fully-accredited, coeducational Catholic school located in Short Hills, New Jersey. The Academy has approximately 200 students, and offers full-day Kindergarten through grade eight as well as a pre-school program for children ages 3 and 4.
Registrations are now being accepted for preschool through grade 8 for the 2018-19 school year. St. Rose is holding an Open House at 9 am on April 20, 2018.
