NJ Transit Train Hits, Kills ‘Trespasser’ In Millburn: Officials
The fatality in Millburn caused a service suspension and delays to the Morris/Essex line, NJ Transit officials said.

MILLBURN, NJ — NJ Transit officials say that a train struck and killed a “trespasser” in Millburn on Tuesday evening, causing a service suspension and delays to the Morris/Essex line.
NJ Transit officials issued an alert late Tuesday night, informing riders that service on the Morris/Essex line was suspended between Newark Broad Street and Summit in both directions “due to a possible trespasser strike near Millburn.”
M&E line service resumed in both directions about an hour later, with delays of up to 60 minutes, NJ Transit officials stated.

NJ Transit officials said that the person died as a result of the incident, which took place around 10:22 p.m. near Wyoming Avenue. None of the 150 passengers and crew aboard the train suffered injury, reports said.
