Short Hills firm conducts the study that shows many believe economy will rebound after 2009

A survey of New Jersey businesses by a Short Hills firm shows many believe the economy has already hit bottom or will do so this year, according to a NJBIZ.com report.

The accounting firm KPMG, which is located on John F. Kennedy Parkway, conducted the survey during Audit Committee Institution round-table. According to their results, 32 percent of the respondents believe the economy has already hit bottom and 36 believe it will hit bottom by the end of the year, according to the report.

A November 2008 survey found 72 percent of the people responding thought the downturn in the economy would last 18-24 months, according to the report.
