Oasis is a food distribution organization that provides bags of groceries and fresh produce to families in the Irvington School District on the last Friday of each month. The majority of the student body goes home to empty shelves, and the bags provide food for these families over the weekend. On the last Friday of the month during the school year, volunteers collate and distribute bags of groceries in Irvington from our heated/air-conditioned, self-contained building on the grounds of University Middle School.
Setup typically begins at 12:00pm and our distribution takes place from 4:00-6:00pm. Volunteers are invited to come for an hour, or stay the whole time! Bring the kids after school! This is a great project for parents and kids to work together side by side! Carpooling is available from the church.
